President Obama Extends & Revises Home Buyer Tax Credit

Now Home Buyer Credit is extended until June 30, 2010. The income requirements were also raised to allow an individual or couple purchasing their new home to make more than was previously allowed. It's also expanded to cover not only first-time home buyers but also second-home owners can get up to $6500 tax credit if they've owned their home for 5 consecutive years. This is great news and should really help stimulate growth in the housing market. Now is one of the best times in history to make owning a new home a reality!

Minimum Credit Score Requirements is Raised from 580 to 620 for Mortgages, Autos, etc.

With the changes in the economy and crash in the housing market, Government agencies have raised the minimum credit score requirements necessary to obtain most loans, mortgages, auto loans, etc.

Gone are the days of being able to get by with a 580 credit score. 620 is the new minimum score needed for most things purchased on credit.
